HEROES
The Houston Emergency Opioid Engagement System (HEROES) program helps to identify, engage, and treat those with opioid use disorder (OUD) through comprehensive medical, behavioral, and peer support services. HEROES assists patients as they navigate the complex recovery journey by incorporating medical and behavioral support services for optimum engagement and retention in outpatient treatment. To provide patients with complete wraparound care that will ensure their sustained recovery, HEROES needs funds to offer assistance with prescriptions, transportation, housing, and other resources to help people recovering from OUD to establish fulfilling, drug-free lives.
