Give Vets A Smile
They served our country. Now, it is our turn to serve them. Each year, students, residents, and faculty from the School of Dentistry and Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston join forces to provide free care to veterans who do not have access to dental treatments. At each Give Vets a Smile event, student volunteers gain valuable clinical experience while providing urgent, therapeutic, and preventive care. They also teach veterans about the link between oral health and overall health, opening the possibility for healthier lives.
