Simulation and Clinical Performance Lab
The best way to learn is to practice. The Simulation and Clinical Performance Lab at Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston gives students the opportunity to practice in a setting that mimics the real world. In this 27,000 square foot facility, future nurse leaders develop critical-thinking skills, gain confidence in stressful situations, and master advanced medical technology using high-fidelity equipment that replicates challenging clinical scenarios. With faculty supervision, students receive immediate feedback to enable faster learning. The lab, which offers a range of simulated experiences from childbirth to emergency medicine, also provides the ideal environment for research and testing of new technologies.
